After years of an existing dark cottage, which had experienced humidity and mildew issues, the client wanted to create a cottage that was light and airy while taking into consideration systems to prevent future moisture issues. Special attention to foundation drainage and waterproofing, site placement, and whole house dehumidification systems addressed the moisture concerns. While the use of windows, an open design, and site placement allowed for the sun to stream into the cottage creating the cottage feel they had been looking for.
