
From fast food to elegant dining, restaurants provide a unique set of challenges requiring not only technical knowledge but also an understanding of the dining experience. Simple things such as lighting color can change the way someone perceives their meal. With a background in various types of food service, J K Janiga Architects has the necessary insight and guidance to create not just a restaurant but also one, which also compliments the meal.
Not just a corporate big box. This project was developed to meet local design restrictions without sacrificing the corporate design imagery. Exploring the details of an exterior loggia for an outdoor eating area, and quality materials we were able to clad this typical fast food restaurant with a very pleasing facade. As with so many projects it is the simple details that can make it really sing.
Developed as a design concept for a successful Chinese restaurant, this exterior facelift spoke to the style of architecture typically associated with Chinese food. The uses of Asian decorative elements as well as the chosen color palettes created a unique imagery that was oriental in feel while updated an otherwise mundane structure. Simple design explorations like this can help an owner visualize the full potential of their building what image it can create for their business.
Built following prohibition, this local tavern quickly became known for its great food and convenient location on the chain of lakes. When needing additional space, J K Janiga Architects was retained to develop an addition to update the facilities and provide for the growing customer base. Immediately after completion of the first addition, design was begun on a second addition due to the success of the first. Through the use of large windows and rooftop dining, a truly unique experience was created with wonderful views to enhance the dining experience.
